The Colours of Pride
A ton of different assets, from archived to recent photography, as well footage from a range of sources, had to be compiled and processed into the same VFX pipeline. A lot of still photography 3D layer splitting and blending modes were employed for the projector effect.

IKEA - The ScrapsBook
A stop-motion video created for Ikea’s ScrapsBook. Pieces of shots were rotoscoped and built together over plates and backgrounds to maintain one seamless motion throughout. Scraps were aged and bruised in VFX to seem more… scrappy. Overall a tricky but unique and amazing project to work on.

Felix & Lucie
An animation developed for Arterra’s launch of Felix & Lucie. The illustration were provided by an artist from Spain who sent over 3 frames in vectors, that were to be manipulated at our heart’s desire. Some minor 3d work was done to transition between scenes. Most of the animation stems from mask and shapes being altered to form into the different illustrations.

There’s a Day Today
A case study developed from an very interesting project. Michelle Orlandi and Tim Morrison, a creative team with whom I worked with, decided to start an Instagram page with a post for every day of the year, highlighting how arbitrary and bizarre some “National Days” are, and how brands often co-opt them to disastrous results. All assets were sourced from their page’s posts, as well as some national day posts from high profile brands, which we slapped together and After Effects to create one of my favourite motion design projects that I’ve been lucky enough to work on.

Noam “What’s Happening”
A lot of screen replacements in this one. A bunch of footage was shot with an actress doing various lines and faces over greenscreen, which was then keyed and fit into separate sequences to composite onto our little red TV. In addition we had to build reflections of the environment into some of the scenes, as well as some crazy distortion and channel mixing effects towards the end.

Lexus ES - Kaleidoscope
A short and sweet animation done for the Lexus ES where we ripped a sequence of frames from some running footage, then build a loop sequence that we could then mask out and manipulate with a kaleidoscope effect. Some faint reflections were built into the metal body to create a more immersive visual.
